Dear Friends of the Kamuela Philharmonic:
As you know, the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic has raised many concerns regarding the presentation of sporting, theatrical, and other public events around the country and here on the Island of Hawai‘i. Accordingly, the Board of Directors of the Kamuela Philharmonic has carefully considered the many issues. In the interest of public health, the Kamuela Philharmonic will cancel its Literature Comes to Life concert on Sunday, March 22, at Kahilu Theatre. The health and well-being of our audience members, musicians, and staff are our highest priority, and it is our belief that canceling the event is the best course of action for our community and stakeholders.
We are exploring potential makeup dates for the concert. We are hopeful that we will be able to secure a suitable makeup date for the concert during the summer, and will make an announcement if we are able to reschedule the concert.
