Another tremendously special finale to our season awaits you in March of 2020 as Maestro Dollinger and the musicians of the Kamuela Philharmonic bring literature to life!

Symphonic works inspired by literature (or their author) will be showcased in a performance that combines new music with movie music, and folklore with Shakespeare.

Timeless, well-known classics like Romeo and Juliet and Stravinsky’s Firebird will be a definite highlight to the entire season of the Kamuela Philharmonic.

Venue Info

The Kahilu Theatre is located in the green rolling hills of Waimea (aka Kamuela), at 2700 ft elevation in the South Kohala district of Hawai`i Island. The theatre was founded in 1980 by Richard Smart—heir to the Parker Ranch and accomplished Broadway actor—and has a 484-seat concert hall, a Black Box performance venue, as well as two gallery spaces.

Kahilu Theatre presents dynamic performers from all over the world and around the state to Hawai’i Island residents and visitors, and it is home to the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra during our 2019-2020 Concert Season. For more information visit the Kahilu Theatre website.
