Dan Schermer joined the Board at the end of 2017 and is the treasurer-elect of the Orchestra.
Dan and his wife Judy are fully retired from the practice of law. They moved from Minneapolis to the Hawai‘i Island in March 2017 and are now enjoying the good life in their townhouse in Kona.
Dan spent many years as a Federal prosecutor, handling mainly tax evasion and white collar crimes. He then started his own law practice and particularly enjoyed working with his wife on some of her sexual harassment and discrimination cases. He thinks his legal background will be very beneficial to the Board.
Dan and Judy were long-time subscribers to the Minnesota Orchestra and were extremely pleased to discover that there is a high-quality orchestra on Hawai‘i Island.
