The Board welcomes Paul Koehler back to its ranks. He served for seven years during the tenure of the orchestra’s founder, Madeline Schatz Harris. He brings a deep understanding and commitment to the organization’s mission, and a skill set that equips him well for community-based outreach and oversight of KPO operations.
Mr. Koehler is retired, having moved to Kona in 2000, where he lives full time with his wife Ursula, the KPO Concert Master. His 41-year career was in the Food Service industry, the last 26 years at Hunt Wesson, retiring as Director of National Accounts. His management responsibilities centered on personnel, research, and development, manufacturing, distribution, sales, and marketing. The company conferred many accolades for record sales, product innovations, improved production, and distribution efficiency.
Elected to a 4-year term as Alderman on the City Council of Batavia, IL, Mr. Koehler was chair of finance and vice-chair of public safety. He also served on the Batavia planning commission for four years.
